Quick Reference:
- LifeRing is independent and
self-supporting.
- No officer, board member,
convenor, or staff person of LifeRing is paid for their
services. All work is done by volunteers.
- There is no charge to
attend LifeRing recovery meetings, but a basket will usually be
passed for voluntary donations. There are no dues to
belong.
- Meetings generally
contribute their excess funds above room rent and meeting
expenses to the
LifeRing Service Center. The Service Center rents an
office, maintains the national telephone and fax lines, provides
referral and information services, distributes brochures and
meeting supplies, organizes workshops, maintains the LifeRing
national web sites, and provides a variety of other services to
LifeRing meetings, members and the public.
- LifeRing is a non-profit
charitable entity and donations are tax-deductible [501(c)(3)].
Donations or bequests may be made to LifeRing Inc. and sent to
the LifeRing
Service Center. Donations in excess of $20 will be
acknowledged in writing. Our federal tax ID number is
94-3267919. Donations may also be made via credit card
online.
