It’s always exciting to announce new LifeRing meetings, but if we do say so ourselves this one’s a little extra special  because it’s been started by our very own Craig Whalley! A little back story, for those of you who aren’t familiar…

After being a longtime member of LifeRing, which has included founding and moderating the LSRSafe e-mail group, moving to and living in Berkeley, California in retirement from running his bookstore in Port Angeles, Washington to be closer to the action in our Oakland office, where he spent lots of time doing any/everything asked of him – including helping lots of other people start meetings, being a leader and member of our Board of Directors, convening a meeting in Oakland, and so on and so forth – Craig decided recently to move back to his hometown of Port Angeles on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula to begin Phase 2 of his retirement…which he thought might include slowing down a little.

Little did he know he had a built-in meeting waiting for him when he got there made up of a group of friends and contacts he’d made remotely during his time in Berkeley, and voila! It’s been so successful he decided it was time to make it official, and lo – the new Port Angeles meeting has been born, and begins tonight, 2/1!

Here are all the meeting details:

When: Thursdays at 7:00 PM

Where: Olympic Medical Center, Wendel Room (in basement), 939 Caroline Street, Port Angeles, WA 98362

Convenor Contact Info.: E-mail Craig at cswhalley@lifering.org

We wish Craig and all new meeting members our very best!
