Be a LifeRing Convenor!

"I convene a LifeRing meeting because I feel better about myself, my day, and my life after a meeting. It helps me in my recovery."

- Mike M., SoCal Convenor

LifeRing is recruiting new convenors to help people seeking recovery support

Do you remember when you first started out on your Recovery Journey?

I was scared. I was embarrassed. I was ashamed. But I was also lonely. None of my buddies had any idea how hard I was struggling. Because, of course,LIfeRing Connections Are Straight From the Heart they could quit if they really wanted to. I needed to talk with someone who understood, who shared my goals and who would allow me the space to explore my own pathway to sobriety.

I dipped my toes into several recovery groups, but nothing really clicked. I was made to feel even worse about myself while I was working so hard on becoming better. Then I found LifeRing. It was love at first meeting!

A Call for New Convenors

There is an obvious need for new convenors to meet the growing number of people searching for recovery support. If you are active in LifeRing with 6 months continuous sobriety, please consider bringing your experience to others searching for a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore their recovery pathway. Here’s how to get started.

LifeRing has hands-on, in-meeting, co-convenor opportunities available now. For more information, please reach out to your convenor directly or contact service@lifering.org. You can find details about starting a new meeting and the role of a convenor on the LifeRing Convenor webpage.

What’s in it for You?

A really, really big slice of satisfaction knowing you’re helping others just like you who are seeking a secular recovery pathway.
