LifeRing in Victoria has popped up in two different news venues this past week. The Victoria Times Colonist newspaper did a story on the recent IdeaWave conference (previously discussed here) and featured, among others, a presentation by Michael Walsh, LifeRing Canada’s Executive Director discussing the concept of Restorative Justice for Recovering Addicts. See the newspaper’s story here.

The second item is a segment on a CHEK-TV program about Jessica R and the LifeRing meeting in Victoria which she convenes aimed at new mothers (see earlier post here). You can view the segment by going to http://www.cheknews.ca/ and clicking on ‘Island 30′ and then on the button for ’04-Mar-2011’. The LifeRing segment — which is definitely worth seeing — begins at about the 2:30 mark.

    Good morning,
I’m looking to contact Canada’s Executive Director, Michael Walsh. I’m an alumni client of Sunshine Coast Health Centre in Powell River, BC, and need to speak to him regarding volunteering in Victoria per an agreement with the centre. He is expecting my call. Would you please pass on his info.
    Much appreciated,
    J
