Hello Bobbi! Thanks so much to you and Rich for coming out and helping make the meeting a success!

Yes, we had our first Los Angeles meeting today and, a minor bump in the road or two aside, it went very well, with some new (to me) faces from LSR and some familiar faces from my old group.

Let’s spread the word and start a new day for secular sobriety support in Los Angeles!

    Chris

You’re most welcome, Chris, thank you! We had a lovely time and will definitely be back! In the meantime please let me know if there’s any way I can be of help in the future do let me know and I’ll see what I can do. šŸ™‚ Bobbi C.

I am curious as to what your experience was with the street parking, so I know what to tell people to expect. Did you find parking difficult?

Hi Chris! Well, I have to be honest, we parked in a lot that’s just off the alley right behind the place (where there weren’t any signs saying we couldn’t park there), and our car was still there even after we went to lunch down the street (and we would have invited you to go to with us but I don’t think we thought you’d still be around)! Our friend had to park a bit of a ways a way, but I’m not sure that’s because she really couldn’t find anywhere else or not. In any case, it’s a cute little neighborhood so it was fun walking around and seeing a new part of L.A. none of us had ever been in before. I can see why it’s a popular part of L.A. to live in (especially if the rent is better there than elsewhere).

Do you use the bus system? How long does it take you to get there from where you are?

That doesn’t sound too bad, I’m glad to hear. I live a few miles due north, so it’s not hard to get to by bus at all. There is actually a secondary bus line that goes straight there from practically my doorstep, but it only runs once an hour and I am hesitant to rely on it . I’ll start taking it if the meeting develops to where I can have a backup convenor.

Oh, that’s good – anything that makes life easier I’m all for, including good bus service. šŸ™‚ Bobbi
