The Essential Recovery Toolkit

Leonard Nimoy Quote 2

Hi Everyone,

Since I’ve been fiddling around while Rome burns (i.e. working very, very, slowly on new blog pieces), I’d like to direct you to a new page placed on our website today that, in my humble opinion, is truly the most remarkable collection of recovery toolkits I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading.

Made up of real tools contributed by LifeRing members, including links to LifeRing-related tools here at, it’s the perfect starting place for newcomers, go-to for those in early recovery, and a great refresher for those long-timers who can use one.

Please have a look-see at it here:

Thanks for posting this Bobbi. It was bittersweet to read.
Writers among these ‘keepers/tools, include some old friends that I sorely miss. Several have never returned to a sober life. I returned but messed up. So many of us posted these ‘keepers’.
My biggest tool at the moment is- you did this before, you can do it again, and DNDNMW

Aw Jane, I’ve been thinking of you and it’s so good to hear from you. I was wondering if you were the Jane that contributed one of the toolkits, too? Either way, it’s wonderful to hear you’re getting back in the saddle again. One thing you do get from being sober for any length of time is knowing that you can do it – and you can! I myself am not as confident that I’d wouldn’t just disappear off the face of the earth – in fact, that seems like a fairly likely scenario – so I’m doing my damnedest to just keep things on the straight and -but hopefully not too – narrow.

Hey, thanks Kim and Dennis – so glad you’ve gotten something out of it! ‘Tis the point, and while I encountered wonderful pieces of good reading both on our website and the Unhooked forum in particular when I got started, I know I really would’ve found this to be invaluable, as well. I do now.

      🙂 Bobbi

Thanks for this Bobbi. I will add some of them to my own tool box 🙂
