Getting Started: Preparing to Start and Convene a Local Meeting

Before convening a LifeRing meeting, convenors should become familiar with several key aspects of the organization and its philosophy:

• LifeRing Philosophy: Understand the LifeRing Secular Recovery philosophy , including "The 3-S" Philosophy  and "The A and the S" Conflict.
  
• Convening Principles: Review How Was Your Week - The Convenor's Handbook, particularly chapters 2, 3, 4, 8, and 12.
• LifeRing Sobriety Policy Statement: Familiarize yourself with LifeRing's sobriety policy.
• Healthy Meetings: Learn about convening dynamic meetings .
