Zoom Meetings
Joining from a computer
- Test your internet connection, speaker, mic, and video here: https://zoom.us/test
- Go to the Online Meeting Schedule. Find the day and time of the meeting in question and click on the Meeting ID link (it will be an orange link) that is associated with that meeting. You will then be sent to the Zoom website and you will be able to enter the meeting (assuming the Convenor has started the meeting).
- If you have the Meeting ID and, if needed, the Passcode go here: https://zoom.us/join to join the meeting.
- You can also download additional software here: https://zoom.us/download.
- The meeting will start once the Convenor (host) opens up the meeting to the attendees.
Joining from a tablet or smartphone
- Test your internet connection, speaker, mic, and video here: https://zoom.us/test
- Go to the Online Meeting Schedule. Find the day and time of the meeting in question and click on the Meeting ID and Passcode (it will be an orange link) that is associated with your meeting. You should be sent directly to the meeting (assuming the Convenor has started the meeting).
- If you have the Meeting ID and, if needed, the Passcode go here: https://zoom.us/join to join the meeting.
- To make it easier to join a Zoom Meeting, you can install a Zoom app that is available for both Android devices (Google Play Store) or the iPhone/iPad devices (Apple App Store), search for "Zoom Cloud Meetings".
- The meeting will start once the Convenor (host) opens up the meeting to the attendees.
Calling into a meeting using a phone number
- On a phone, you also have the option of calling in using the phone numbers provided by Zoom.
- Look here for a phone number: https://www.lifering.org/zoom-phone-numbers
- Go to the Online Meeting Schedule. Find the day and time of the meeting in question. The Meeting ID and Passcode will be listed with the meeting.
- When prompted, enter the Meeting ID, followed by the # sign.
- If prominent, enter the Passcode.
- The meeting will start once the Convenor (host) opens up the meeting to the attendees.

Adobe Connect for Text Meetings
Adobe Connect is a text-based communication format. It takes place in the LifeRing Chat Room where you use your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) to read text messages on a screen and to post a message with a keyboard. Meeting days and times are posted here: Online Meeting Schedule. There are currently three meetings that use the Adobe Connect interface.
If joining from a computer
- Open your browser and use this URL for the Adobe Connect LifeRing meeting: https://meet56243352.adobeconnect.com/r3gtmlgthvp/.
- Your browser will open up to the Adobe Connect screen. "Enter as a Guest” selection. Type in your chat name and Adobe Connect will open up a new window where your meeting will take place.
- If you are new or Adobe has updated their meeting software, you may be asked to download “Adobe Connect Add-in”.
- This should automatically be made available to install. Please install it if asked. It’s a quick install over most internet connections.
- Please click on this link to test your connection once it is installed.
Joining from a tablet or smartphone
- Please go to the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and install the “Adobe Connect” app.
- Open the Adobe app and enter the meeting’s URL, https://meet56243352.adobeconnect.com/r3gtmlgthvp/ in the box provided.
