A Heartfelt Thanks to Our Volunteers

Thank You

It's National Volunteers Week, and we're placing a spotlight on all LifeRing volunteers whose invaluable commitment and collective effort are bettering our community.  Together, let's celebrate the kindness of volunteers who generously give their most valuable assets: Their time, talent, and voices to make a difference.

Participating in volunteer activities allows individuals to make a meaningful impact on issues that matter to them. It provides opportunities for personal growth, skill development, and social connection. Volunteers gain a sense of purpose, fulfillment, and belonging as they contribute their time and talents to the recovery community’s welfare.

Throughout this week we're showcasing the invaluable contributions volunteers make toward building a more compassionate and connected recovery community to remind all LifeRing members the value of our volunteers' selflessness and community engagement.

Special thanks to post contributor and volunteer extraordinaire, Laura M., who in addition to convening two in person meetings (more info. about them here and here), goes out of her way to help out every chance she gets! Thanks, Laura - we appreciate you and everything you do for LifeRing!

To Our Volunteers

You have all contributed to building an international community dedicated to empowering sobriety. You are sharing the message of choice in recovery using LifeRing’s 3-S philosophy: Secularity, Sobriety and Self Empowerment

Whether you have spent a little or a lot of time, it all helps get the word out to others looking for a sober connection and a place to feel at home in their recovery. For this we are profoundly grateful.

You are awesome!!!

LifeRing volunteers. Your dedication to your meetings that you run have changed my life. Because of you I am not alone in my sobriety, I feel safe and not invisible. Because of cross talk I have discovered my voice and how to advocate for myself. A special thanks to Sue Betts for alwaysnbeing there. I am now 5 years and 5 months sober. I have attended many groups I really couldn’t have come this far in my journey without each and everyone of you.

Thank all the volunteers at Lifering for having a huge impact on my sobriety journey with out all of the different meetings at all times if the day I wouldn’t be here sober for my beautiful daughter Raelynn! Your support and love make it possible to stay connected and achieve abstinence!

I want to thank my new LifeRing friends for welcoming me. I have recently found a great interest and sense of worth in working with a LifeRing chat group to encourage newcomers or just those who may have cursory interest in LifeRing Recovery. It makes me happier when I encourage or help others to become happier. I say that with equal amounts of Pride and Humility.
