Journey Magazine is celebrating its 5th year in publication. LifeRing is featured in Issue 32 hitting the streets this week!

Visibility is critical to the next wave of substance misuse recovery. The importance of making recovery and recovery resources visible to everyone is growing as multiple paths become the norm in approaches to personal recovery plans.

Maine-based Journey Magazine was launched in March 2019 by a team of people who saw an opportunity to use media, marketing and publishing to amplify a message of hope about addiction recovery. LifeRing is proud to be a part of their mission.

Byron Kerr, long-time LifeRing convenor and former BOD chair, stresses the importance of secularity and self-direction as part of his Personal Recovery Plan:

I appreciate the philosophy [of LifeRing] in that the individual is responsible for their own sober path. Nobody else made me have a problem with alcohol, it was all me. And I’m the one who’s responsible for correcting it.

LifeRing In-Person Convenor and Collaborator
