Online Meetings

LifeRing online meetings provide a confidential and supportive space for individuals committed to achieving and maintaining sobriety. During these conversational gatherings, a convenor (a person in recovery themselves) hosts an open discussion, typically asking, "How was your week?" Participants share their current recovery experiences and future plans, focusing on present-day events in a relaxed, living-room-like atmosphere. The only requirement to participate is a desire to be sober, and you must be sober to share or crosstalk. To ensure a positive environment, "war stories" about past substance use, unsolicited advice, and discussions on religion or politics are avoided. Meetings often conclude with applause for sobriety, and while participation is free, voluntary contributions are accepted. These meetings are confidential, and attendance can be credited by courts and treatment programs.
